Today we continue our Women in Property Series which sees Eva interview Phoebe Isabella Porter, the UK's youngest female property developer.
We hope you enjoy this interview with Eva and Sabrina as we give you an insight into the world of property and importantly as we speak to women in the heart of the sector.
E: "Hello, Phoebe, thanks for having a chat with me. You are the youngest female property developer in the UK, Can you tell me a little bit about how this all started?"
P: "My property journey started when I decided to drop out of my first year of A Level studies when I was 17 and became an estate agent. A couple months prior I had decided that I wanted to go into property because I discovered I had a passion for it, after identifying lots of run down houses and watching my family be successful in the industry form afar."
E: "I know you have a lot of family members already working in the industry, have they helped you or have you done it on your own?"
P: "I have learnt completely on my own. My family who are successful in property aren’t local to me and I don’t see them regularly. I am a very driven and independent individual so I wanted to make sure I achieved everything on my own without the help of my family. However they have been very supportive nonetheless!"
E: "Can you tell me about a project you are currently working on?"
P: "A current project I am working on is a one unit site in Cambridgeshire. Currently a 2 bed semi detached property, I am hoping to obtain planning permission for a 6 bed detached property over 3 floors with demolition of the existing property."
E: "What is next for you?"
P: "I am hoping to scale my developments to a larger size and work on increasing my buy to let portfolio in the background for passive income!"
