About the Role:
As Senior Sous Chef, you will work closely with the talented Head Chef, leading the kitchen team to create memorable, high-quality dining experiences for weddings and private events. You will ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen, maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and execution to 2 Rosette standard
- Lead and mentor the kitchen team, ensuring consistency and excellence
- Oversee food preparation, stock control, and kitchen hygiene compliance
- Work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced, event-driven environment
- Maintain flexibility in working hours, including weekends, as weddings and events take priority
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-quality restaurant or event catering (2 Rosette standard preferred)
- Passionate about fresh, seasonal, and beautifully presented dishes
- A strong leader with excellent organisation and communication skills
- Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
