Position: Workshop Operative
Location: Norwich, Norfolk
Hours: Basic hours 8:30 am – 5:00 pm (Mon-Fri) / 7:00 am – 6:00 pm (seasonal variations apply)

The Role:
As a Workshop Operative, you will be responsible for assisting with or completing the construction, production, and assembly of cases and related products using a variety of hand and power tools. You will work closely with the Workshop Manager and other team members to ensure high-quality production and adherence to company standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with or complete the construction and assembly of cases using hand and power tools.
  • Fabricate and assemble sub-assemblies to support the timely completion of complex products.
  • Liaise with the Workshop Manager to implement work schedules and meet deadlines.
  • Maintain high-quality production standards and report any issues promptly.
  • Continuously develop skills to maximise efficiency in workshop operations.
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures, including the correct use of personal protective equipment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments to improve product quality and efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Practical experience using hand and power tools.
  • Ability to understand basic engineering drawings, methods, and terminology.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills, including basic material calculations.
Additional Requirements:
  • Flexible approach to working hours, with availability to work extended hours during peak seasons (December – March).
  • Clean or near-clean driving licence preferred.
