In this dynamic Security Officer position, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of operations. Your responsibilities will include patrolling the building, unlocking and locking areas, and managing both staff and public-facing desks.
While stationed at the security desk, you’ll monitor CCTV systems, handle phone enquiries, sign in and out visitors and contractors, and keep an eye on fire and intruder alarm systems. On the public exit desk, you’ll check books, inspect bags for hidden library material, and respond confidently to face-to-face questions. Additionally, building patrols will involve working closely with another FM team member to follow a set schedule.
This role operates on a rota system, with working hours spanning from 06:00 to 19:15 Monday to Friday and 08:45 to 17:00 on Saturdays, ensuring no more than 36.5 hours per week.
