Are you an analytical thinker with a knack for solving complex problems? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and excel at coordinating production schedules? If so, my client has an exciting opportunity for you.

Boasting over 100 years of experience in specialist manufacturing, my client’s commitment to excellence has made them a trusted supplier both in the UK and Worldwide.

In this role, you will support the production planning team to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of their manufacturing process. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the coordination of production schedules, tracking inventory levels, and analysing data to optimise production efficiency. This role requires someone with strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Your primary duties will involve creating and maintaining production schedules, ensuring all relevant documents are issued in a timely manner, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet production goals, monitoring inventory levels, and coordinating with the supply chain to ensure material availability. You will also update the company’s internal ERP system daily, generate reports to check material availability and shortages, and perform any other duties compatible with the nature and scope of the role.

My client is looking for a candidate with proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment. A general understanding of manufacturing processes, strong analytical skills, proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), and experience with ERP or MRP systems (ideally IFS or equivalent) are essential. Additionally, you should have strong organisational and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks. A friendly, flexible attitude and the ability to learn new skills quickly will also be highly valued.

You will be working as part of the wider Operations Team in an open-plan office environment, adhering to strict timelines with accuracy. You will interact with coworkers and managers to ensure production goals are met efficiently.

If you are ready to contribute to a company that plays a crucial role in their world, I would encourage you to apply for this rewarding position. Email Emma now at Select, who is managing this role in Helen's absence
