Do you thrive in a leadership role where your expertise directly influences the success and expansion of a dynamic manufacturing facility? Are you looking for an opportunity to join a company that are about to develop areas of their business further so you can really be a part of the growth and an exciting journey?   If so, the Operations Manager role with our client could be your next career move.

The Opportunity
Our client, a BRC-certified, privately owned organic and supplement manufacturer based in Great Yarmouth, has experienced remarkable year-on-year growth. Originally founded in 2000 as a pioneering importer of superfoods and has continued its expansion, including the recent move to a state-of-the-art facility in January 2024. This move has enabled the company to offer co-packing, private label manufacturing, and new product development services alongside its established brand.

As an Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimising the daily operations of the site. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will drive strategic initiatives across production, finance, supply chain, and HR to ensure operational excellence and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production & Compliance: Ensure full regulatory compliance, manage audits, risk assessments, and external certification checks (BRC, HACCP, Organic Farmers & Growers).
  • Supply Chain & Procurement: Working closely with the Production Manager and Buyer, optimising inventory levels, overseeing purchasing decisions, and enhancing supply chain efficiency.
  • Logistics & Warehouse: Negotiate transport contracts, manage customs coordination, and ensure warehouse compliance.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, cash flow, and implement cost-saving and revenue-optimisation strategies.
  • New Product Development: Lead the development and certification of new products, collaborating with R&D teams.
  • Human Resources & Team Development: Oversee staff training, performance management, and HR-related matters.
  • Strategic Projects: Plan and execute operational improvement projects to support business growth.
What’s in It for You?
  • Salary: In the region of £50k+ (depending on experience)
  • Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays
  • Pension: Competitive company scheme
  • Product Benefits: Unlimited product sampling on-site
  • Staff Discounts: Reduced-price products online
  • Career Growth: Excellent opportunities to progress and be a valued part of the senior leadership team
About You
You will be an experienced leader with a strong commercial focus and the ability to manage a cross-functional site. Your expertise in food manufacturing, raw ingredients, and operational excellence will be crucial in driving business performance. Experience in BRC/SALSA accreditation and regulatory compliance will be highly advantageous.

If you have a proven track record in operations management and a passion for innovation in health and nutrition, this is a unique opportunity to make an immediate and lasting impact in a fast-growing company.
