Responsibilities:
- Wash and clean pots, pans, utensils, and dishes
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and work areas
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients and basic cooking tasks as needed
- Dispose of waste and recycling properly
- Unload and store deliveries, ensuring proper stock rotation
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Assist in organising the kitchen and keeping it tidy
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Chef or kitchen staff
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential
- Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety standards
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- High level of cleanliness and attention to detail
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks and lift heavy items
