About the Role:
As the Senior HS&E Manager, you will oversee the HSE operations at the company site, providing essential support to other HSE team members. You will play a pivotal role in developing a best-in-class HSE culture, values, behaviours, systems, and processes to ensure the safety and well-being of all team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Lead the creation and implementation of a comprehensive health and safety strategy.
- Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with HSE standards, policies, procedures, and management systems.
- Improvement Plans: Develop and monitor HSE improvement plans in line with UK legal requirements and corporate strategy.
- Expert Support: Provide expert advice, leadership, and specialist support to management teams and employees.
- Training & Coaching: Deliver HSE training, guidance, and coaching to empower line managers and team members.
- Incident Oversight: Oversee accident and incident investigations to identify causes and implement corrective actions.
- Communication: Facilitate effective communication of HSE issues and learning points across the site.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify themes and develop strategies to continuously improve HSE performance year on year.
- Certification: NEBOSH certified, ideally an IOSH member at Grad IOSH minimum.
- Experience: Proven history in HSE management within high-risk environments.
- Knowledge: Up-to-date knowledge of UK HSE legislation.
- Auditing: Strong HSE system auditing experience.
- Leadership: A clear understanding and belief in behavioural-based HSE leadership.
- Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strategic Planning: Proven track record of developing and implementing strategic action plans.
- Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise workload.
- Initiative: Self-starter with initiative and excellent communication skills.
