I am recruiting exclusively for a beautiful country gastro pub just outside of Guildford who are looking for a driven and entrepreneurial Head Chef.
As the Head Chef, you will have full autonomy on the menu, allowing you the freedom to write amazing menus using the freshest local ingredients. Due to the proximity of the business, they have a large game and fish following, so you will ideally be able to think on your feet to be able to create dishes when offers on venison, pheasant and trout are made available to you by suppliers.
You will be managing a team of 4 chefs, who will be looking for an Exec that can guide and coach them to follow your standards and meet your expectations.
The business has a strong local following as well as a good tourist clientele base, so it is essential that with your menus and ideas you are able to build on this following.
The client are happy to back you and follow your ideas for the direction of the business, however at the forefront should always be the customer and the understanding that they are a traditional gastro pub serving the local community.
As executive Head Chef you will be paid up to £45,000, PLUS LIVE IN, plus tips, bonus (after probation), plus an excellent perks and benefits package.
