Are you an experienced head chef, looking for a new challenge, my client are looking for a head chef to join their team to oversee the running of their award winning Country Pub, near Langport, Somerset
The business is part of a small family ran business, specialising in traditional pub food, using fresh local ingredients served to a very high standard.
As head chef you will be given full autonomy on menus and food ideas, and the owners would look to you to advise on costings, staffing and supplier requirements. You will have full responsibility for coaching, developing and mentoring your team, working with your senior kitchen team to produce a menu using 100% fresh food catering for a large range of clientele and cuisines.
The business are busy all year round, with Summer being their core business time, the owners are looking to invest in building an outside kitchen to cope with summer demand, and as head chef you would be instrumental in driving this.
The client are looking for a chef with entrepreneurial flair, someone looking to run the business as their own, you will be happy to serve a mix of “pub classics” as well as ala carte fine dining, on top of
Due to the nature of the role, you will need to be able to work a variety of shifts covering weekends, bank holidays and evenings.
