As Construction Project Manager, you’ll work closely within a multidisciplinary team delivering large-scale infrastructure projects as part of the Next Generation Infrastructure (NGI) programme. This is a high-profile, long-term development initiative involving physical construction projects, soft transformation work, and operational improvements across a unique research campus. You’ll collaborate with design consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders to keep complex projects moving, while also contributing to continuous improvement and strong project governance.
Because this is a client-side role, your ability to build relationships, communicate clearly, and influence stakeholders will be just as important as your technical project delivery knowledge.
You’ll be joining a team that values your voice, encourages contribution at all levels, and welcomes fresh thinking. A recognised project management qualification—such as Agile Foundation, PRINCE2 Foundation, APM Project Management—or a relevant, transferable skillset is important to help you succeed in this environment.
This role gives you the opportunity to:
- Be part of a strategic, multi-year transformation programme in a world-leading research setting
- Work on the client side, engaging directly with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Apply and develop your soft skills in a role where communication, coordination, and problem-solving are highly valued
- Contribute to a collaborative Programme Office team focused on best practice and continuous improvement
- Salary: £55,000 – £62,000 depending on experience
- 27 days annual leave, plus bank holidays and Christmas shutdown
- Excellent pension scheme and flexible working options
- A supportive, people-first working culture in a world-class institution
