Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and serving of food and beverages to staff
- Ensure the canteen is kept clean, tidy, and well-stocked at all times
- Operate the till and handle cash/credit card transactions as required
- Assist with setting up and clearing tables and counters
- Follow health, safety, and hygiene standards in all food preparation and serving areas
- Assist in receiving and organising deliveries, ensuring proper stock rotation
- Provide excellent customer service to staff and resolve any inquiries or concerns
- Support the kitchen team with basic food preparation tasks as needed
- Previous experience in a similar role (e.g., catering, food service, or kitchen assistance) is a plus, but not essential
- Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions from the Head Chef or Canteen Manager
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- High standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
