We are recruiting for a leading manufacturer who is seeking a reliable and motivated Materials Handler to join their team. Due to an exciting expansion of their UK depot, they have 4 spaces for additional Materials Handlers. These are key roles within the supply and logistics function, ensuring the smooth flow of materials through the production process and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the operation.
This position would suit someone who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and looking to grow their career within a well-established, forward-thinking business.
The Role
You will be responsible for handling, storing, counting, and distributing parts in line with internal standards. You’ll work closely with both the manufacturing and goods in/out teams to ensure materials are available when and where they are needed, while maintaining a safe and orderly environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting goods-in and goods-out processes to ensure timely movement of stock
- Conducting accurate inventory counts and maintaining stock presentation
- Following defined processes such as Standard Work Instructions and Safe Systems of Work
- Keeping the working area clean, tidy, and compliant with 5S standards
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
- Assisting with training of colleagues where appropriate
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment and a strong commitment to maintaining high operational standards. Previous experience in a warehouse or production support role is desirable.
Key requirements:
- A background in Inventory Control, Materials Handling or similar
- Basic PC skills, including Microsoft Office
- A proactive and positive approach to tasks
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Forklift (counterbalance) experience is an advantage, though not essential

- Starting base salary of £26.5k PLUS yearly bonus of 5% based on company revenue achievement PLUS yearly appraisal salary increase of 2% (after bonus added)
